A Year of Reading

Studies have found that it's important for kids of all ages to read for at least 15-20 minutes everyday, whether they are reading independently or having someone read to them. Reading has tons of benefits, including improved test scores, larger vocabulary, more creativity and lower stress.  In order to encourage reading, The Monticello Public Library wants you to read at least 15 minutes everyday (or have someone read to you!) When you read, color in the date of your month. Color in everyday you read. When your calendar month is full, return to the library for a small prize!
