Join the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge! Read a book, any book (repeats are okay!) to your newborn, infant/toddler, or preschooler.
The goal is to read 1000 books before staring kindergarten to help kids start school with a solid foundation of reading readiness. Sign up your under-age-5 kids at the library and get started with your reading log to track books 100 at a time. When you reach 1000, bring your last reading log into the library and trade it in for a sapling to plant at home. Watch your tree grow--just like you watched your child learn and grow as you worked your way through 1000 books!
