Get a Library Card

The Monticello Public Library will issue a library card free of charge to any Wisconsin resident. Photo identification with name and current address is required to get a card.

Parents must sign for children under the age of 16.

Monticello Public Library is a fine free library. If materials are checked out at a different library, you may be liabile for overdue fines based on their meterials policy.

You are responsible for material checked out on your library card, including material checked out on it by others unless you report the loss of your card.

Virtual Library Card Application

This form is for people who do not have a card from the Monticello Public Library, or any other library in the South Central Library System (SCLS). It will create a temporary account, valid for online resources and LINKcat holds. To upgrade your account for full access, you must bring a photo ID to the library during open hours.
