Library Phased Reopening Guidelines

Page Upated: 6/2/2020

In response to Governor Tony Evers’ orders to close all K-12 schools and prohibiting large gatherings, the Monticello Public Library closed Monday, March 16th, 2020.

While our physical location is closed, our digital library resources are available on our website,, including eBooks, eAudiobooks, and research databases. This would be a great time to learn a language using Transparent Languages, or to read a book checked out from Overdrive!

Our Library Board has approved the following Phased Reopening Guidelines. This Condition-based Timeline reflects the phases in the Phased Reopening Guidelines and is reevaluated at each Board Meeting to make sure it reflects our local situation.

We are currently offering services in “Under Stay at Home Order” of the Phased Reopening Guidelines. Presently, we hope to move to Phase 1 on July 1st. This will be evaluated at our June Board Meeting.

The safety of our patrons and staff is of highest importance for the library. Please follow us on Facebook and check our website for updates. We will continue to provide further information as the situation continues to evolve and develop and highlight free resources to help you through this challenging time.

We appreciate your understanding during this uncertain time, and we look forward to serving you in the future.
